Welcome to My Home Page

Thank you for honouring my request for not using the images from this site.

These photographs are from a specific moment in time and are also a part of my creative personality.

To own one of my prints is, in a sense, to own a portion of the two things above.

The images contained in this site are grouped into three general items.

Straight photography - ninety-five percent are taken without filters. The other five percent are usually winter shots where glare from the snow can be prohibitive thus forcing the use of a filter. I believe in being a purest when it comes to this type of work. What you see here is pretty much what you get - it's as if you were there with me at the time of taking the photograph.

Expedition photography - these images are from some of the trips I have made to remote northern or other areas in Canada and are shot in a sequential manner - you will see very good shots next to plain items. There is no grouping to separate the two as I generally have travel notes beside those pictures to explain the trip as I go along.

Enhanced photography - these are images that are based upon my composition in a shot and then are manipulated into a completely different form of artwork using my art as the starting point. After this manipulation, some are just mild enhancements and others art a completely new creation - the difference between a mild fix and something entirely new is easy to see in some of the pieces. If I have manipulated the image, I put it into this section so that there is a separation between my traditional work and this style of art.

Whichever area you go into while visiting my site, it should also be stated that the pictures you see here are a good representation of they way they will look when you order them. However please note, the way they look can change slightly from one computer monitor to the next - usually darker to lighter or vise versa - but it will not effect the overall quality of the print that you order and the colours are much richer than seen on a monitor.

Another note that you should be aware of is "size". When you see a "size" reference - i.e. 17 x 22 - this is the size of the paper that the image is on, not the actual image size. It could be a little smaller or modified to best suit the image on display - usually about a one inch white boarder around the image.

If you would like to contact me further, please feel free to do so.
