Well we finally made it over to Europe in the fall of 2025 and stayed in a beautiful hotel – The Hotel Monge.
This is something that I have wanted to do since watching the movie ‘Dodsworth’ It’s a movie about an American who retires from industry and travels to Europe. Unfortunately for him, his wife decides that she’s not finished ‘living’ and chooses to leave him for the ultimate delusional fantasy and in the end, they end up getting divorced.
There’s a scene that stuck with me from that movie of him sitting in a Paris cafe under the awning, reading a newspaper drinking a coffee while it was raining outside and I said to myself that is something that I WANT TO DO.
I only took me forty plus years to get here – but sometimes, life gets in the way of fulfilling your dreams as fast as you want to but, if you stick with it, sometimes dreams can come true.
I took over one thousand pictures while in Paris and have edited them down to these 138.
As part of the artistic process, you may see the same image a couple of times, but they’ll each have different filters applied to them and therefore each image will have its own unique essence and feel to it. I’ll let you decide which ones you like better as I had a really long time in trying to decide.
